The vegetarian recipe for ‘Sweet Potato and Sago Pearls Soup’:


  • 500 g of or 1 sweet potato (peel, cut into small cubes, steam until soft and set aside)
  • 1 cup of sago pearls (bring 6 cups of water to a boil, add sago pearls, cover the pot, simmer over low heat until transparent, dish out, rinse under cool water and set aside)
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 8 cups of water
  • adequate ice cubes


  • 4 tablespoons of sugar


  • Put water + sweet potato + sugar into a pot and bring to a boil.
  • Cool.
  • For each serving: place ice cubes into a glass, then layered with sweet potato and soup + sago pearls + 1 tablespoon of coconut milk.
