Green Pea Samosas 豌豆酥角

The vegan recipe for Green Pea Samosas:

Filling

  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Place green peas and water in the blender; pulse until smooth.
  2. Transfer the puree to a pan.
  3. Add vegetable oil, black pepper powder and salt.
  4. Stir and cook until fully absorbed.
  5. Remove and let cool.

Pastry

  • 3/4 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  1. Combine wheat flour, oatmeal, sugar and vegetable oil.
  2. Add water and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out eight 3-inch squares.

Final Steps

  1. Place 1 tbsp filling in the center of the dough square, fold over to form a triangle shape, seal the edges and use the fork tines to press the edges; repeat.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes.
  3. Remove and serve.
