The vegetarian recipe for Christmas Cookies (eggless):
1 1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup fresh milk
125 g or 1/2 pack butter
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp liquid food color – bright red
1 tsp liquid food color – apple green
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla flavor
2 tbsp icing sugar
Combine wheat flour, wheat germ, fresh milk, butter, sugar, baking powder and vanilla flavor; mix evenly.
Divide into 2 portions.
Add bright red and apple green liquid food colors to the respective dough; combine food color and dough .
Scoop out 1/2 tbsp of each colored dough and gently knead into a round shape; repeat.
Lay all the cookies on a greased baking tray.
Put in a preheated oven and bake at 160°c for about 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle icing sugar over the cookies while it is still warm.
Cool and serve.
