The vegetarian recipe for Sesame Rice Balls:

  • 1 cup calrose rice/sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup roasted white sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp butter


  • salt to taste


  1. Place calrose rice and water in the rice cooker and cook.
  2. When the rice is ready, dish out and place in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add butter and salt; mix evenly.
  4. Roll into balls and coat in white sesame seeds.
  5. Serve.
