The vegetarian recipe for Stir-Fried Rice Noodles (Char Kway Teow):
Ingredients
- 1 kg rice noodles/kway teow (loosen)
- 300 g bean sprouts
- 300 g cabbage (cut into strips)
- 3 dried chilies (cut in half)
- some limes
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup water
Seasonings
- 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
Method
- Heat oil, stir-fry dried chilies until fragrant.
- Switch to high heat and stir-fry bean sprouts.
- Add cabbage and stir evenly.
- Add rice noodles and combine.
- Add dark soy sauce + soy sauce and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle water over and stir evenly.
- Dish out and serve with Seasoned Soya Mince, Vegetarian Belacan Chili Paste and lime juice.
