- 1 cup of bitter beans/petai
- 1/2 cup of ready-made fried shiitake slices/香脆丝 xiang cui si
- 1 tablespoon of vegetarian belacan powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- Heat oil, stir-fry bitter beans.
- Add vegetarian belacan powder + chili powder + fried shiitake slices and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of water + salt + sugar and stir evenly.
- Cover the pan and briefly simmer.
- Dish out and serve.
