Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk (combine with 1/4 teaspoon of salt)
  • 4 cups of rice (rinse)
  • 2 cups of ready-made fried shiitake strips/香脆丝 xiang cui si 
  • 1 cucumber (cut into round slices)
  • 6 pandan leaves (tie all into a big knot)

Seasonings

  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce

Method

  • Coconut Milk Rice = Add rinsed rice + right amount of water + knotted pandan leaves + coconut milk (mixed with salt) to a rice cooker and cook.
  • Spicy Condiment = Stir-fry chili powder + ready-made fried shiitake strips. Then add 2 cups of water + sugar + soy sauce + tomato sauce + salt and simmer.
  • Set one rice bowl of coconut milk rice + some spicy condiment + cucumber slices onto serving plates and serve.
