Ingredients
- 2 pieces of ‘wheat cod fish’ 素麦鳕鱼 su mai xue yu/vegetarian fish
- some tapioca starch for coating
- 1 small piece of ginger (shred, fry and set aside)
Seasonings
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Method
- Coat vegetarian fish with tapioca starch and fry in heated oil. Dish out, drain and set on a plate.
- Saute soy sauce + sugar in 1 tablespoon of remaining fried oil.
- Then, simmer with 1/2 cup of water.
- When the sauce is ready, scoop it over the fried vegetarian fish.
- Lastly, top the dish with fried shredded ginger and serve.
