1 cup vegan snack


  • 1 cup skinless dried broad beans (rinse)
  • 2 tsp Sichuan chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • adequate vegetable oil


  • Soak the broad beans in water until soft (about 3 hours).
  • Then rinse the beans again and drain off the water.
  • Heat the vegetable oil over medium heat, fry the broad beans until crispy (about 15 minutes) and transfer them into a sieve to drain off the excess oil.
  • In a big bowl, mix the Sichuan chili flakes and salt. Then, add the fried broad beans and mix evenly.
