The vegetarian recipe for Wax Apples in Sugary Soy Sauce:

Ingredients

  • 500 g small wax apples – jambu air (wash and cut into halves)
  • 5 Thai chilies (chop) – optional

Seasonings

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp sugar

Method

  1. Combine all the seasonings with Thai chilies.
  2. Place the wax apples in a salad bowl, pour the above mixture over and combine.
  3. Mix every 5 minutes thrice.
  4. Enjoy!
