The vegetarian recipe for Wax Apples in Sugary Soy Sauce:

- 500 g small wax apples – jambu air (wash and cut into halves)
- 5 Thai chilies (chop) – optional
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 5 tbsp sugar
- Combine all the seasonings with Thai chilies.
- Place the wax apples in a salad bowl, pour the above mixture over and combine.
- Mix every 5 minutes thrice.
