• 1/2 pumpkin (peal, steam and set aside)
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 2 cups of wholemeal flour


  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt


  • Pastry = combine wheat flour + wholemeal flour + salt + 1/2 cup of oil + 2 cups of water, blend well and knead to form a dough. Cut the dough into small pieces, roll into small balls and flatten into round shapes with a roller.
  • Filling = mash the steamed pumpkin on a pan, add sugar + coconut milk and cook until fully absorbed.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin filling onto the center of the pastry.
  • Fold in half and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  • Drain and serve.
