Ingredients
- 1/2 pumpkin (peal, steam and set aside)
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 2 cups of wholemeal flour
Seasonings
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Method
- Pastry = combine wheat flour + wholemeal flour + salt + 1/2 cup of oil + 2 cups of water, blend well and knead to form a dough. Cut the dough into small pieces, roll into small balls and flatten into round shapes with a roller.
- Filling = mash the steamed pumpkin on a pan, add sugar + coconut milk and cook until fully absorbed.
- Add 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin filling onto the center of the pastry.
- Fold in half and pinch the edges to seal.
- Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Drain and serve.
